Statement of Sovereignity
The Statement of Sovereignity is an important declaration for our nation. The declaration is as follows:
Per the 1933 Montevideo Convention, Landistan is an independent nation. The 1933 Montevideo Convention establishes a sovereign nation as having: (a) a permanent population, (b) defined territory, (c) a government, and (d) capacity to enter foreign relations.
Landistan meets all of these requirements. Our permanent population is the Dictatorial and Imperial families, as well as anyone living within Landistani territory who claims Landistani citizenship. Our defined territory is areas within the Raleigh area. Our government is a shared monarchy, with the roles shared by the Dictator and Emperor. Provincial governors are also elected to communicate with the Leaders on the state of their province and to assist in governing the area. We are able to enter foreign relations with other nations with the establishment of our Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Thus, Landistan is an independent, sovereign nation and should be considered as such.
